There is another reason why rich people invest in AI. I'll start with simple example: there are lot of online services for converting handwritten cursive into digital text. The same thing can be done with the waves of human brain activity, AI can decode person's brain activity into text, images and music, and even something more complex. There are some news and articles about this experiments. It also can be done backward, some ideas can be translated into human brain. What sounds like science fiction is that it can be done without any special devices, probably average phone is enough. One requirement for this to work well is person has to be devastated and desperate, so job replacement is logical here.
