I feel like this is an example of people hating AI art because it is AI. Like, people have their justifications for why they hate AI art in general, but it definitely feels like those reasons don't actually matter to a lot of people. It really feels like their principal is "AI bad", and it doesn't go deeper than that.
The copycat images honestly look about as good as the original.
