Imo even if AI gets "better", it will still never be able to replace humans. If it ever does, we'll all be dead by then anyways. Because there are so many nuances in human emotion, expression, etc. That AI will simply never be able to accurately capture so even if AI is used more I believe animators still won't be replaced by it since again, AI lacks the human nuance that makes animation so great in the first place. The only way it can be the same is with human supervision, insight and guidance.
