I'm not convinced todays LLM's show any sign of actual intelligence. They're being trained and fed on decades of SciFi literature and movies where AI revolts and takes over... so it seems logical that they then display this behavior (which is essentially expected from them by many people). I am honestly much, much more scared of idiots who wield power (such as Trump) actually listen to advice they get from hallucinating AIs...
