Good video mate. I’m 50 + and worked over 30 years first as a designer then through the rank progressions up to executive creative director. I also worked as a strategy director in some roles. I was the first gen that used computers after going from doing everything by hand. I understand the value of craft and the skills you get from practicing it. I’ve decided to walk away from the industry as I feel I’ve had a good run and want to start a new chapter, but having seen so many changes over the decade I truly worry for current and future generation of aspiring creative young people. Creativity has always thrived due to the magic of chaos - that unknown factor that made something special. AI removes this and flattens things out.
