I think that Visa and mastercard, as well as online censorship are a bigger issue than ai, As is corporate rule and greed. Ai should never be used to make feature films, or dubbing, it also shouldnt be used for making animations, using it for refrences I don't think is bad but typically it can't even get that right most of the time some times it can be useful, but that's more for kink stuff that's insanely hard to draw. ( you can't say there's enough artists to keep up with the niece kinks, and many of the weird kinks are to weird for artists to feel inspired for, Thats about the only usecase I can say it has made QOL better in the art community, For degens making freak stuff) I like ai, lots of artists I know also like it for testing out Ideas, but aren't willing to talk about it because people are so opinionated about it, Even though I don't agree with the low effort slop, It's just a tool, that can be misused as any other. The biggest issue I have is with money, and the financial system, as well as artists being highly cut throat with artist they disagree with for any reason. I'm not going to pick sides, but I will use ai to help me code Non critical hobby systems, where nothing major is at stake. if it makes finishing projects faster, then cool, if it doesn't oh well, do it by hand. For art Idk maybe references? but I doubt that as I have thousands of dollars of paid art to use for reference. I respect people not using ai in their workflows, but I also respect when people say where and why they used ai in their process, If the results aren't blatantly ai, then that typically proves they put a decent amount of work in fixing the issues presented by using ai. Most people I know who i've know that got in to using it, Got better at their craft because they were forced to teach an ai how to do the thing they wanted to use the ai for... Really funny. Comparing that with people who just use ai with a single prompt and call it a day is like night and day.
