AI just makes things easier. Now a person who doesn't even know which end of the pencil to put to paper, let alone that there are different pencils and papers, can type "make a picture of a hot viking woman pounding Rumple Minze while riding a polar bear" and generate T shirt worthy art or their advertising pitch to Rumple Minze. It used to take talent to do this. Long ago it took talented art forgers to knock stuff off. Then came garbage easy to copy art movements, then the airbrush, then came photoshop, now there are machine Learning boxes (AI) that do it. So what is the next step in lazy? What knocks down even more gates so the talentless can get in? Is that the issue? it is the talentless saying "Look at this amazing art I MADE!"? if they said "Hey look what I got an AI to spit out." there wouldn't be an issue? Is it that most people claiming credit for amazing art an AI generated for them don't know a difference between that and actually making the art themselves just like people who cheat at video games don;t know a difference between that and practicing until you are good at the game in question? This is because what they are doing feels the same to them, a win feels like a win unless someone makes you feel bad about it. AI just does stuff faster. I could spend years copying spooky/goth animoid Youtube style art and claim AI was ripping me off but as my stuff is generic and cliche, an amalgam of what I have been ingesting since my first Tim Burton film, I think at that point AI is just doing what I have done, only doing it faster. The difference is that if I spend enough years doing my knock off style eventually it may mutate int a style that is really mine.. Or I will keep doing the generic stuff I immerse myself in? Or I will keep doing what is profitable if I find "my" style appeals. How many different Youtube animation/cartoon styles are there? "I'm ripping off Cyanide and Happiness", "I'm ripping off The Oatmeal.", Animoid, etc
