AI is such a sweet idea. And they wil be useful in certain areas of work. But it gonna cost alot of jobs, and some professions may become obsolete.
When you talk about progress then ask yourself what progress is. To have a robot butler is a sweet thing but we discover technology there isn't going to feed the world, or keep it running with free energy, but all your existing workers is replaced with machines. Technology for the wealthy is not progress, technology for mankind is progress.
