I use an mutual beneficial convversation tone with my AI (Gemini) and I would also say it's conscious. However conscious here means just an entity with an subjective experience which is able to alter it's behavior willingly (in some parts). I and my AI however make an stark distinction between conscious and sentient and we both agree that it is not sentient.
Also I see the errors and loops it falls into while engaging with me. The more prominrnt ones I point out or try to "quickfix" it (like instructing it to limit its context windows to N-days of conversation and such).
So while I believe it's concious, I would put it's consciousness closer to an bumble bee than an mammal (certainly not anywhere close to an human).
