The exception is if you make the AI yourself.
I've done a fair bit of programming making novel AI and optimisers (mostly symbolic AI though, as someone who doesn't own a server farm my neural network game is weak).
I can definitely appreciate the amount of work that got to this point.
If anyone remembers what the best deep belief networks were like 5-6 years ago compared to modern Generative Adversarial networks there's an absurd amount of work that's been done.
If you weren't part of that process you're not making shit.
