A very similar situation began unfolding in Australia from around 2024. A very high number of job applications would be either instantly rejected or go answered, and when applicants would contact the companies associated with the advertised jobs to seek reasons for the rejections they were almost always told that their applications had never been received or seen. Toward the end of 2025 the job seeking community in Australia would come to learn that a large number of job sites, recruiters, and human resource departments had adopted and relied on "AI" software to perform automatic screening and evaluation of job applications and CVs. The lack of maturity of such software, as well as the questionable data used to train such models, has lead to the suffering and anguish of many job seekers, yet these employment pimps have shown no accountability nor remorse for their decisions and actions.
