Another aspect of ai that I feel gets ignored is how good it is becoming, and I fear it’s no longer just going to be used to plagiarizing art. Like, obviously plagiarizing someone’s creativity is bad, but I feel like that is insignificant compared to what ai is becoming, and I genuinely don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings when I say that; I’m an artist myself who would like a career in art; I get it. Obviously, no one’s art is insignificant. What I’m saying is ai was frustrating and annoying before, but now it’s to the point where someone could “alter reality” with it, and I don’t believe we’ve even seen the good tech yet. Just look up ai videos; they look real at first glance; and they’re made by unprofessionals!! Ai can be used to replicate someone’s voice for crying out loud!! They could make anyone look like they did or said anything! No one—I don’t care who you are—should have that kind of power! Ai is no longer just a threat to artists, but to everyone. This isn’t just another reason to hate ai, but for everyone to band together and get serious on banning it altogether. This ain’t no joke.
