The u.s. has already led the EU into losing their manufacturing strength. Germany was kicking ass in the automotive industry until they started listening to the u.s. about Russia. The EU lost its oil and gas relationship with Russia, especially when the u.s. destroyed a Nord Stream section.
There are any # of products that u.s. manufacturers cannot sell in Europe because the Europeans have higher expectations and standards ; as a result, Europeans are healthier and live longer.
Regulatory agencies have to remain strong in order to perform the vital job of protecting public health. The European leaders surely must know, their people were listening to this vice president of a convicted felon.
The contempt the political figures have, in the u.s., for their citizens is becoming more apparent as the trump administration guts the Department of Education as one of many examples of slashing and burning the foundations of infrastructure of the u.s.
AI must and should be heavily regulated ; especially AI, as those guys in the tech industry can make us "see" what does not exist.
