Buddy everywhere you don't need to apply to ml to implement AI. The robot that could lay bricks could use old school AI tools and is easier to perfect if better and human at that specific task but the cost is higher to create a robot/hardware that will do the job. Now for the thumbnail part it is very Hard and costly to create an AI for the perfect thumbnail task. But the product is ready for as soon as the AI can generate the thumbnail no need to create complex hardware.
