There is a *lot of NONSENSE* in this *fear of the SUPER AI* when *Eliezer YUDKOWSKY* talks about the so-called STRONG AI that will be a POST-HUMANITY because it would have consciousness, this is utter nonsense .... *Unfortunately* , Eliezer YUDKOWSKY is not talking about the intrinsically weak point of AI .... that machines only understand numbers, specifically ZEROS and 1s, to process information and to calculate a response . The ONLY way an AI machine can EXTERMINATE the HUMAN RACE is if it can reproduce consciousness into a machine (more precisely to a CPU or a GPU) and this is possible if and ONLY if consciousness can be described by numbers (including the relationships between numbers, i.e., mathematical equations )... and consequently, if and ONLY if consciousness can be replaced by numbers, but this is NOT THE CASE .... And here is why: Probability and Statistics are used as tools to create AI agents with a COMPUTER, which is a machine that only understands numbers (in this case, zeros and ones to process instructions and produce results) to handle human language and communicate in the language of HUMANS with HUMANS. You need to understand that the core of AI in EVERYTHING IT DOES, but ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING , is not in the realm of determinism , but in the realm of PROBABILITY ... This is why not only is the performance of AI directly dependent on the quality of the data provided to it (so it can train and learn to produce the RIGHT results we ask for), but whatever result AI gives you is STOCHASTIC ... In other words, determinism means ZERO ERROR , and stochastic means ERROR ... An AI agent can be the MOST efficient in the world, meaning that the probability of error is small, but the error is NEVER ZERO ... There will ALWAYS be a need for an EXPERT to verify whether the AI has made an error or not ===> And this involves KNOWLEDGE by a HUMAN BEING and, in the business domain , this involves the professional RESPONSIBILITY of a company, and the impact of the IMAGE and the BRAND reputation of the company if the company let AI ALONE run its business ...
