I have a history degree, and I hate AI art. AI art when used to try and teach history will generate a painfully inaccurate image pulling from sources like fantasy role-playing games and anime. At best you will get a game of "spot the anachronism" and I think at worst, if this isn't already happening and some dark corner of pseudo history internet, it will make fake memories. Black and white images of Nazis and Jewish people arms locked as "proof" The Holocaust wasn't that bad, images meant to look like JFK was secretly alive in the '80s on a beach in Sochi with Madonna. It will be so much harder to fight historical misinformation especially when these kids 110% trust the answer the bot and random dude bros on TikTok give them without question. We could witness the end of history not because books were burned, but because they were covered in slop that makes the line between forgery and authenticity blurry
