(Disclaimer: I don't use AI to make art, I don't ever plan on it, and I think it's the wrong answer for this problem) That said, it's incredibly discouraging to be told over and over that art is just "practice" when you've put hundreds of hours into it, only to be incredibly mediocre if not outright bad at it. Like, yeah, i *can* draw a person. But the proportions will always be off, the face will always be lopsided, and no amount of art tutorials or practice is going to fix that for me. I can get *better* but I won't ever be *good enough* and knowing that just sucks most of the joy out of it. That said, I think the solution here is to just find something you can actually become good at. I'm good at fiber arts! It took a little while, but now I can make my own patterns for crochet and cross stitch, and it's really rewarding rather than frustrating when I make something. People should spend more energy finding things they can do than obsessing over things they can't.
