I don't get it-- since when is "I expected the machine to compensate for my total incompetence as a human driver" a valid excuse for being a completely irresponsible driver? Seems to me the official Tesla self-driving policy of requiring "active driver supervision" means you're responsible for not putting pedal-to-the-metal when driving straight toward the end of a road.
