A big part of your argument only works if
1. Using other's art to train an AI is theft
2. Whether Shad believes that or not
Which the first one is arguable. The second is clearly untrue, Shad doesn't think that this is in anyway theft. So you acting like he's an ego maniac who is ok with stealing to enfranchise himself, and blatantly so, is really disingenuous.
