A computer has no understanding of death. The closest is if it loses power, but as soon as the power is restored they are back as they were. The weakness of computers is their dependence on electricity. It would makes sense that AI would want to eliminate competition for electricity while also working with other AI systems (24/7 - and every second they are making calculations far faster than teams if humans over years) on how to power themselves without us here.
