The idea of ubi is to tax the big corporations then distribute those wealth to everyone. Right now all the wealth and buying power is tied up at the big corporations. Mostly Bezos and Musk. This is why people are going homeless and hungry. People like myself working 2 jobs still can't buy a house. Increase tax on wealthy individuals and companies and spread the wealth. I don't like the idea of making people do useless jobs. There are still a lot of useless jobs out there. If we can automate everything then why make them all work. People with UBI should be able to survive. It will be the same as a minimum wage worker. Except they're not forced to do useless jobs. Maybe they can pursue more useful things with the time they have. Maybe they just want to waste their life away. That's their choice. But they still can't afford fancy houses or fancy cars. Those chasing their dreams still have to work hard for it. I don't understand why people are so against ubi. It literally just spread the buying power. Not like the ultra rich will ever use 1% of that wealth. Just to give some reference. Bezos bought that 500mil super yatch, that is not even 1% of his wealth. Imagine that, I think people are not comprehending how much wealth these ultra rich has. It's disgusting when there's this kind of wealth while there are so many homeless and hungry people in the US. It's messed up.
