Yeah, having grown up with major depression into a society that really isn't all that social and has been doing imperialism and capitalism (and is now embracing fascism. Again) Seeing how our plutocratic elites would rather scorch the earth than give up their extra bit of political power, I'm not sure it's worth it to _live_ so much as not die yet. Given the eagerness of nature to engage in exploitation (called parasitism in that case, the very most popular survival strategy ever), I'm really not impressed with this whole existence thing. Maybe our imminent robot overlords will be better at seeing the beauty of an ecosystem lousy with wasp larvae eating caterpillars alive, or better yet, deciding _let us remake society with much less grimdark._
