Waymo still has remote operators that can intervene and control the car when it gets stuck. So the spot where it was head-in the small lot and had to do like a 5 point turn to get out... I can't help but wonder if that was a person controlling it or the car itself. Human intervention is not a scalable model. In the near term during beta, sure, but we need to be careful when attributing the autonomous capabilities in situations where we don't know if it's a human or the robot.
