You seem like the sort of person that would know how this sort of stuff works, though maybe I have it wrong. Of course, typing your personal info into anything is generally a bad idea but it's not like Chatgbt is going to regurgitate out something you say in an independent chat in someone else's chat or even a future chat of yours. I should say it is technically possible but only through raw probability, something something monkeys and typewriters. The way training data is stored (at a basic level) is in token of individual characters, words, maybe phrases, that are assigned relative values based on what characters, words, or phrases are more or less likely to come after them. AI has the capacity for great societal harm, but there are *possible* applications of it for positive change. However unilateral "AI bad" fear mongering does not tip the needle towards positive change.
