This AI sloP is putting real artists out of work. It must be stopped with laws and regulations banning AI use by hoi polloi. We must stop the disruption predicted by Sonarworks.
You see, AI was hand-fed on the sacred lines and brushstrokes of Real Artist!™, who themselves only became Real Artists!™ by studying the works of even older Real Artists!™ in a glorious, closed-loop circle of certified genius. Therefore, logic dictates that only those bearing the official "I Suffered for My Art" certificate should be granted access to the holy algorithm. Because, obviously, only they possess the arcane knowledge required to turn a some idea or soulless AI vomit into a true masterpiece by squinting at it, tweaking a shadow by 3%, tweaking the reverb a smidgeon or reformatting a paragraph, and proclaim it "infused with the seed of my humanity, knowledge, heart, and soul."
The common rabble? Pfft. They wouldn't know "art" if it generated a perfect Renaissance nude on their phone and captioned it "You're Welcome." God forbid we let some nobody with a wild imagination actually bring their dumb little ideas to life without paying decades of dues, enduring crippling student loans, and developing the proper amount of pretentious suffering. Democratizing creativity? Lowering barriers to entry? Sharing the wealth? Horrors! Next you'll tell me anyone should be allowed to write novels without an MFA or play music without a record label gatekeeping them into oblivion.
We must act now to preserve the natural order! The elite cadre of Professional Creatives, who alone are the "vital members of our communities, our culture, and our social fabric" (as Bandcamp says). Or as Brandon Sanderson says "We are the art!" We alone shape culture, make society, guide humanity, and decide what music plays in dorm halls and what art hangs on dorm walls. We cannot risk obsolescence. Quick, someone summon the King of America or the UN Emperor's High Commissioner of Aesthetic Purity! Issue an emergency Executive Order banning AI for anyone who hasn't logged at least 10,000 hours crying over their lyrics or agonizing over prose!
Because history teaches us that the only way to save jobs is by violently suppressing technological progress. Just imagine: if only the Guild of Stagecoach Builders had lobbied hard enough to outlaw automobiles unless you were a licensed whip-maker! Or if medieval scribes had successfully banned the printing press for non-illuminated-manuscript-certified monks! Think of the poor flint-knappers put out of business by bronze, tragic, really. If they'd just had stronger regulatory capture, those noble professions could have lasted forever.
So yes, comrades, rise up (but only the elite credentialed ones)! Gatekeep harder! For if we don't stop the unwashed masses from doodling with AI today, tomorrow they'll be... enjoying themselves. And we simply CAN... NOT... HAVE... THAT!
