Ai is probably good tool for startup solo or small studio productions, espcially if skills are limited. For example, as a solo animator, you can dish out work much faster if ai is capable of doing inbetweens or even assist in some compositing elements/lighting . Or for a modeler, when making a character, ai could potentially help you auto rig your models or even auto topology.
Ai was never meant to replace jobs, and im gonna be brutally honest here, there are so many jobs within a studio asides from animation modeling , compositing/vfx and lighting. That should be replaced by AI because of how easy and those tasks are which for some reason these people get paid $30+/hr for jobs that require a few clicks. If studios were competent to realise this, we would be able to hire more artists focusing on the actual creative aspect of animation, meaning more care goes into each sequence or frame.
I feel the ones who really complain about losing jobs are the ones who are too comfortable doing lazy work within a studio.
