it's a nuanced subject, however I'm not sure it's possible to make concrete statements about why art is enjoyed and how art should be enjoyed as many of the points in this video do..
I agree with the overall sentiment as I too am heavily against the use generative ai in creative spaces, though I still acknowledge that people simply enjoy things for different reasons and can find beauty and meaning in whatever they choose to
I believe the real danger and concern is a growing amount of people who seem to be okay with and enjoy ai art over human art, and what the artist community should truly focus on is trying to influence culture to care about the qualities of human art that people like us may personally care more for and find greater beauty in
I like the video here and personally align with many of the points made, but I also believe that these points would not sway a supporter of ai, as to them, they would not be true
as a tldr, I reject the premise that there is some one true way to interact with, understand, and appreciate art
I believe that instead of the issue being that ai supporters simply don't get something to get, they just enjoy different aspects and qualities of art than others, and that might be more core to the issue
