A common consumer takes time to view an article, that view = an interaction, that interaction provides monetary value for the Times through ad revenue/subscriptions. These articles have years of research, time, trail&error and money to key in on these interactions. A bot/ai essentially ctrl cs the article. This is not a view. This does not provide the Times monetary value or the 3rd party ad interactions. Openai has essentially committed corporate sabotage by using an algorithm to synthesize the formula the Times uses to accumulate these interactions by scraping millions of articles. The ai does not research the topic, or spend money to do so, the ai does not provide credit, the ai does not count as a view, the ai does not transform the work, the ai acts as a bypass between the user and the answer without the responsibility, therefore the ai could misinform through paraphrase, misunderstanding and through inaccurate information. And unlike a common user who can be informed, no you are wrong, no one can know/tell the ai it is wrong until it spirals.
