I would like to ask you to investigate NPUs. there is a new NPU design, which is specially designed for AI Datacenters. It promises to significantly reduce energy-needs for the AI process. This is because the design promises to reduce the need for RAM, because it doesnot need to traffic the data through it.
In datacenters the RAM is actually one of the most energy intensive parts of the build. With this NPU there would be less & so there would be less energy needed.
All I know is that the design has been patented in South Korea.
