It's not going to be some sort of Terminator-esque or Matrix-esque apocalypse where AI unilaterally takes over control and subjugates humanity. It simply doesn't work that way. People need to stop getting their "knowledge" about such things from Hollywood story telling tropes. The danger of AI will be from far more mundane issues the sake as any other other newspaper and evolving tech. Things like deepfakes, scams, ordinary HUMAN criminal activities, and of course HUMAN error.
