Now do a video on all the IP infringing 'fanart' people make and sell. which is to say it's a much more nuanced discussion... the 'problem' is its now easier to 'steal' IP or styles, not that people having been doing this since photoshop came out. a much more problemtatic issue is companies using AI to copy people and use them in advertising. than there's the whole rule34 rabbithole... again been going on forever with people profiting of it but is much easier now... especially when you could take a few good photos of someone you know and make porn out of them (but that's not AIs fault, that's morality again) Then there's the massive positives to AI art It democratises art, people who might not be able to draw whether through lack of skill or disability can create their visions For other artists, architects, etc. it's an amazing prototyping tool to get some ideas on paper you can then draw inspiration from Eventually when it matures it will be able to do a lot of the boring tasks of artists like painting masks and cleaning up the edges of people's hair that take ages and don't add much, but are necessary. Theres so much more to it than AI can do bad... even when it does bad, its only doing what fanartists and some large sweatshops are doing already.. just faster.
