Great video and an excellent summary. The debate remains the same, the arguments have become more refined, yet the core issue is still missing.
The problem with art is that most people cannot read it, and therefore cannot create it — a deep misunderstanding persists. The real obstacle lies in interpretation.
From the examples of certain public figures, it’s clear that they are afraid to truly examine what drives them to create in the first place, what their real engine is. What we see is often just a distraction. Most discussions slide into technical debates about composition, comparing an artist’s work to that of an “AI artist.” Yet an LLM is merely a technical supplement — an amplifier of what people desire, but especially of what they wish to hide and what they fear.
Andrei Tarkovsky, in Stalker, shows how dangerous it can be to truly wish for something. In the darkness of a wish we long to fulfill, there is often something we deny within ourselves.
Wherever the AI art debate goes, I keep seeing the same patterns across platforms: suppressed sexuality and over-idealized synthetic realities. Again and again, I read between the lines the same things — dissatisfaction with one’s own appearance, a heroic self-idealization, a feminization under the banner of “fan art,” a pursuit of one-directional beauty, and often an in-your-face sexual frustration ejaculated into an illustration. Endlessly recycled motifs of idealized female figures with open heads and protruding wires — as if the fetishized object must be stuffed with cables. Violated forms, matter, and faith. Caricatured portrayals of minority groups, and the mocking of human suffering through visual disrespect.
This is a product of LLMs, but mostly It is a product of the person who commissioning the work, who has found an obedient servant.
Artists and illustrators once used their skill to prevent this social filth from seeping freely into the world. Now anyone can easily “gratify” themselves without them.
Learn to read between the lines, and you will come closer to enlightenment. And above all, remember: art now has only one mission. It is not to restore the status quo — that will help no one. What is essential is to use every possible means to capture what you feel: betrayal, theft, injustice. That is the task of art.
