The final message question was a brilliant manoeuvring in interview technique by Steven. The answer, for me basically undermined all the theorising done by Geoffrey in the early part of the interview about what Ai will achieve with consciousness and feelings. In that moment his life’s work was superseded by a feeling of regret about his family, something I believe a machine could never “feel”. Great interview Steven!
