There is a non-zero percent chance every time someone goes deep sea diving to conduct scientific research they will come back infected with something that will end humanity. "If there is any chance..." is a moronic standard. If you try to live by that standard you can't do anything. AI is terrifying, but don't let the fear push you into adopting stupid standards.
