I am relatively inexperienced in art. I used AI to kind of get a visualization of what I wanted. But now I'm realizing that may be holding me back. Sure, it's nice to quickly see a rough idea of what I want, but it's not giving me the experience to learn how to visualize it and find references myself. This was very eye opening, thanks.
I do want to say that generative AI will never be better than a human, because it doesn't actually learn anything like we can. We draw stroke by stroke. AI draws pixel by pixel. I'm no expert, but it's pretty obvious that AI needs to mimic how we actually do things rather than the results to overtake us, and that considering how expensive current AI is, it's not really feasible at all. So no, AI is not the future, and we need to take action to protect ourselves from it's fallout.
