We have become so arrogant in our pursuit of intellect we have tossed aside our knowledge and belief in God, who predicted these times in great detail over 2000 years ago. My recommendation is to close your laptop and pick up a bible and read and pray. For only faith and belief in Yeshua (Jesus) can you be saved and have eternal life. We are entering the time of Great Tribulation unlike any that has ever been or will ever be, and the end of secular life and evil will come to an end. Those of us who believe in God will likely have to give our lives for our faith (I do not believe scripture supports the idea of a pre-tribulation rapture) but will be raised again just as Jesus was resurrected unto an eternal paradise. If you think science proves God does not exist, I tell you that science should be the study of how God does things. He is the one true scientist. To think we can outsmart the father of mathematics is the ultimate foolishness. Confess your sin, turn to the one who gave His life in order to save you from the punishment of your rebellion, and live eternally in the presence of the Creator of all things and participate when he destroys all that exists and re-creates the universe. Now that will be the show of all shows.
