I really like AI, mainly I can't draw very well, never have been able to. Do I think I'm a A++++ artist nah, not at all, but it helps me a crap ton draw things I normally would only dream of and never draw in real life. Best I can draw is like a stick person. I think it's great for average common people but if someone wanted to be a professional artist I think both can be powerful. Use it for conceptional artwork, use it as reference then draw your own character designs based off it. It's similar like any job in real life. Sure you can lay out massive patterns (Trade talk) and spend 2+ hours on a lay out or send the part out to be laser cut, saves 2 hours of lay out work, then you just use it, bend it, weld it, shape it to what you need it to be. Going back 5 years ago a job used to talk a month to build can be done in 2 days all due to parts being layer cut. Not much different, use AI to get a baseline of what you want, a spring board then build off it. Again, I'm no artist, just a trades guy.
