No, it isn't weird at all. What's weird is that you think you know what "smart" is. The main difference though is that people still have a lot more capacity (roughly 80 billion neurons and 80 trillion neural connections) for creativity and intelligence and memory over "AI," and an intrinsic sense of self and perception - essentially the potential for a having a much bigger picture in their minds. Consciousness and sentience however are fundamentally self-simulations and imagination. We're just hardwired for it already. This, however, is likely decreasing along with the average human brain size since the rise of civilization as we know it, through selective evolutionary processes like self-domestication and domestication syndrome.
