So this was in reply to a reply to the top comment, but it was almost full soooo: ⁠I mean the thing about not feeling anything is your opinion and I GUESS I’m okay with it… But your question is essentially the same as the original comment. Do we want art to be produced like this? Like you said, a big part of art is its meaning and background. Knowing an artist’s life adds so much meaning to an artwork (this applies to many fields, for example writing). Yet, with mass artistic productions coming from AI (whose style is essentially stolen) art begins to lose its meaning. Do we want to rob such an expressive field of its complexity? Of the history and of the original composition? Speaking of originality, while nothing is ever original, every pieces changes from individual interpretation. Therefore, every piece is original in some shape way or form. Yet, what AI does is replicate the art style of existing artists. So at the same time, do we want for these artists to run out of a job? Because if a cheap program can do the same thing as they, why bother hiring them?
