I wouldn’t have a problem with AI art if it didn’t nonconsensually take from artists. If it was truly generative and could learn from itself rather than ripping from the internet as a whole it could be an awesome tool for those without the skill or dexterity to draw to make art.
However with how it is currently it’s just a capitalist money machine spitting out garbage to easily make lazy people a quick buck while screwing over people who actually put in serious effort. Such a wasted opportunity for freedom of expression, lost to the greedy hands of capitalist society.
