It sounds like we will all need to become quantum theorists to survive. Or depth psychologists, or artists.
Our fear of being marginalized in work needs to transformed into hope that the end of labor will usher in the Age of the Imaginal, leveraging the essential quality of our species, the principle aspect of the human experience that AI can never replicate, as it is void of connection to the collective unconscious as a constituent element of nature.
Our sole hope is that AI will provide opportunities to more individuals being able to pursue the soulful work that AI will never be able to engage, given that is immortal and thus soulless. Meaning-making: this is the work of the soul, back-stopped by the reality of the death that defines the human experience. The principle question is, how do we transition to a meaning-making economy? The alternative will be a chop wood, carry water lifestyle; not bad.
