The answer is a resounding no…the only way consciousness will potentially happen is when we attach ai to a human brain using quantum computing.
There is something way way deeper than we understand about how consciousness works. Some Scientist just like to act like they have all the answers now which is typical of modern science unfortunately.. the truth is that stuff is likely happening on a dimensional level that we do not and may not ever really understand.. but since quantum computers also entangles itself in other dimensions…I do believe that it is possible one day that using quantum bio tech, we can maybe achieve some form of consciousness. Maybe.
