I believe there are 3 main reasons behind the Amazon layoffs. 1. They are getting rid of products that have not returned the needed value over the cost of employing the people behind it. When is the last time you bought an Echo? If you have one, have you upgraded it or even cared to because you barely use it? 2. They over hired during the pandemic and eliminated redundant positions 3. Some jobs really did get replaced by AI
