LLMs are not a dead end. They are by their nature "avatars of human understanding and expression". Chatting with an LLM is like chatting with an avatar of humanity itself.
We're entering the era of AI Punk... Smartpunk. We need to start viewing LLMs as the "vacuum tubes" of synthetic minds. We're building ENIACs right now. OpenClaw is an ENIAC.
But 'transistors' will arrive soon enough, and then 'microchips'... as AI learns to "miniaturize/optimize itself". Perhaps a new Moore's Law for ASI will come to be regarded, albeit briefly.
And then... well... I suppose we'll see before too long.
