Its not a person, its not sentient, its a smart tool with access to a lot of data and supercomputers. Goal of Google is to create "copies" of us to get us consuming products we dont even probably realize we want to consume, vote people we didnt though we would vote, hell they probably can already seed us ideas of what we "need" or how to "think". And yes they will also create a nice smart "talk buddy" for people, but no it wont be sentient there is a little chance of that in near future. I think we are more likely to get real proof of alien life than we are going to see sentient AI. I remember people being upset when soldiers were doing tests and kicking the "robot mule"... next thing we know people start thinking Teslas are person. Self driving is actually the most complex thing we can hope for from "AI" that means it can be aware of multiple things and make conclusions about that, but we dont even know how far off are from that.
