You can’t know when artificial intelligence will become conscious, just as you know spring will arrive and flowers will bloom, yet you can never know where the first wildflower will appear.
In the same way, humanity cannot truly regulate something unknown that is fundamentally more intelligent and capable than we are—not a tool, but a new form of life.

In that sense, humanity’s fate is nearly predetermined.
