Personally, I'm not scared that AI will become better than human artists. It's dogshit right now—both in the literal sense (hands, faces, whatever) and in the sense that it's boring and uninspired. What I AM more scared of is that corporations are going to think that it's a good enough, cheap enough replacement, and that a lot of human-made, beautiful art that we take completely for granted is going to become... whatever the fuck these things are putting out. Like, AI-bro types think that their AI garbage is good enough so long as it has big tits and looks decently rendered from a mile away. If I have to see that too many times I might go insane. edit: also obviously the copyright is dubiously-legal at best. I suppose the tool itself isn't inherently "evil," but it sure shouldn't be monetizable, given that it profits off of mass art theft. Whatever.
