Human agency is an important ingredient in the ascendancy of AI. WEALTHY & POWERFUL & INFLUENTIAL individuals will be behind its development, proliferation & its PRIORITIES. They have the capital & the know-how, and so it is not a level playing field.
This could represent the very worst aspects of the present economic system. The profits and wealth of the few are the top priority (look at the wealth disparity) and stuff the rest of us. We are and will become truly expendable.
