This comment will disappear into the void but hopefully whoever needs to read it will. Economies and there growth are like 95% correlated with energy consumption. Clean unlimited and trivial and virtually unlimited energy technology is being withheld due to concerns about centralized control. If the surveillance grid is sufficient to appease those concerns, my understanding is there will be a controlled rollout. Or it is at least a possibility. This would generate unprecedented economic growth, that will help to hugely offset the massive deflationary pressures of AI discussed here. Physical resources and environmental concerns are the primary concerns that will govern things for the next 100 years. That's how I understand it.
