When you say that this type of warfare will lead to like "skynet" swarms of autonomous robot drones killing humans, it sounds far fetched... or when people said the steam engine was going to kill all jobs... it seemed like and so far has proven to be hyperbole... the problem is, those arguments aren't about right now... they are about 20-50 years from now... they are about where this tech is heading, not where it is at the time of the complaint. The facts are that the people complaining about the steam engine would feel highly justified when examining our current automation in factories... and it's only going to get worse. The people that say automation is going to kill jobs, or that autonomous robot drones are going to be an existential threat... they aren't wrong, we just aren't there yet, and what they complain about absolutely is a symbol of what is to come.
